Chemical Dependency Treatment Associates do only one thing – treat alcohol and chemical dependency. And we are the only fully dedicated facility in the Sacramento area that treats alcohol and chemical dependency on an out-client basis.

Dr. Angella A. Barr joined the practice in early 2015 and has assumed responsibility for its business administration. Dr. Barr is fellow-trained in addiction and board certified. Her specialties include treating pregnant women with alcohol or chemical dependencies. Dr. Barr has also received specialized training in psychotherapy treatments.

In 2010, Dr. Sandra Cowden Johnson joined the practice. Dr. Johnson has been involved in the diagnosis and treatment of alcoholism and substance abuse for over 25 years, initially as part of her practice as a family physician in private practice.

Combined, the staff of CDTA has over 50 years of experience that includes hundreds of successful outcomes. The staff takes a collaborative approach; working with the client to develop a joint treatment plan that addresses the client’s needs and fits into his or her lifestyle.
